In the farmland of Thompson Valley, there lived a young boy named Stanley, who admired his Uncle Stan, a local legend known for his epic mullet back in the day, which he called the 'Appalachian Waterfall'. His Uncle Stan, fresh out of high school with his heart full of dreams, joined the army and was stationed at many different forts and was deployed several times throughout his career. But his career ended in 2004 during Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad, where he tragically passed away.
Growing up, Stanley would hear stories and see pictures of his Uncle Stan's legendary mullet, igniting a spark of admiration in his heart. His Uncle Jeff, Stan's brother, kept the mullet legacy alive, sporting his own version, though it never quite reached the iconic status of Stan's. Stanley also idolized Finn, a local high school baseball player, whose down-to-earth demeanor made him easy to idolize for young baseball dreamers.
One day about three years ago, Stanley decided to honor his Uncle Stan and emulate his hero and guardian angel. He walked into Gibby’s Barbershop, took a deep breath, and asked for the 'Appalachian Backwoods Breeze' – a mullet that would make Uncle Stan proud, Uncle Jeff envious, and Finn nodded in approval. And so, Stanley’s mullet was born, a tribute to a fallen hero, a nod to a family tradition, and a symbol of small-town pride.
