It all started with big brother. One day, our oldest walked into the living room with a fresh mullet, grinning like he’d just won a trophy. Our 3-year-old stared up at him wide-eyed, totally mesmerized. He didn’t say a word—just slowly reached up and touched the flowing locks at the back. That was it. The mullet seed was planted.

From that day on, every time his brother got a trim, he insisted on tagging along. He’d sit in the barber chair, legs dangling, saying, “I want mine like his… but froggier.” We weren’t sure what that meant—until he brought his favorite frog toy to the next haircut and told the barber, “Give me the Tadpole Tail!”

So now, he rocks his own mini mullet—short up front, party in the back, and full of frog-loving attitude. Whether he’s leaping around the backyard, catching bugs, or showing off his hair in full hop-mode, he wears it with pride. And if you ask him what it’s called, he’ll puff his chest out and say, “It’s The Tadpole Tail… I’m still growing it big!”

With his older brother as his mullet mentor and a pond full of confidence, this little guy is ready to hop his way into mullet history—one strand at a time.
