My mullet journey began the day I was born! I didn't have much hair at all at first but eventually there came a curl, and another, all of which eventually turned into waves. You know how it goes, mom can't bear to cut the curls, although dad begged her at times. It got longer by the year, and dad said as long as we cut it before kindergarten, he was fine with it, although he's offered to take me to his barber many times. Well, kindergarten came and went and I just never cut it because I didn't want to cut it and it turned into this. It grew as fast as a race car! I've never cut the back. Mom gives me bang trims when I can't see out of my eyes any longer but that's all I need for now. Despite the many times I've been mistaken for a girl, people asking if I'm ever going to cut it, all the times I've gotten my long locks stuck in my seat belt, backpack, and zippers, or mom accidentally tucks it in with my baseball jersey, the daily grind of combing it out...ouch, the many bottles of conditioner and no-tangle spray I've gone through, all the hot summers I've endured because I've never worn it up, and the times I've caught mom secretly braiding it...I LOVE my mullet! Little did I know the day I was born that it would become the thundering waterfall it is today!!
