In 2021 I had brain surgery for chiari malformation which causes headaches and numbness in limbs as well as other things. I had a large scar on my neck. My parents told me scars were cool but I said you know what's cooler, a mullet. So I started growing it out! The linger it grew the more attention I would get out in public. People would even give me a dollar for my hair. The attention was fun but then I realized there was a mullet competition that would turn all that attention into an opportunity to raise money for a good cause! My Pappy, great grandfather and Uncle served in the military among many other friends. From a young age my parents taught me the importance of honoring the bravery and sacrifice it takes to serve our country! I'm thankful for this opportunity!
