Registration closes at 17:00 pm CDT on July 6^th

Our team has the right to extend the registration period if needed and announcements would be made on our social media channels.

Once registration is complete and mullet contestants are approved we will prep for the start of Round 1.

Round 1 will take place August 6-13, Round 2 will take place August 20-27, Round 3 will take place September 10-17.

Round 1 and Round 2 will consist of Fan Voting/Donating.

**Donations will roll over each round but Fan voting does reset for each Round. In the final Round (Round 3) a judges score will be added in to the overall score of the Top contestants.

The winners will be announced September 20-24. Our team will send out information regarding our Live results event during this time frame once we get closer to the finish line. In years past we have done a media event that announces the overall winners of each category.

For our 2025 Season: Kids (0-4, 5-7, 8-12), Teens (13-17), Adult (18+).

**Please note that our contest for 2025 is a digital only contest and we will not be offering Live Events at this time

After you register just hang tight. Our team will review each and every contestant and reach out if we have any issues that need to be looked at prior to approving your page. The approval process takes approximately 7-10 business days. If there is an issue with your registration, our team will reach out to get this corrected. Once approve your unique URL link will be created with your profile on our website that you can use during the contest.

A mullet is more than just a haircut but we will save that for another time… A legit mullet is short in the front and significantly longer in the back (the ole business in the front, party in the back mantra). To be a true mullet, you must be able to see the ears and have the long hair start just behind the ear. Of course we love variety and mullets can be long, short, curly, fluffy, edgy, and whatever else you can come up with!

We want to see the best of the best and see them compete against one another in our Adult category. All adults ages 18+ will compete together in the adult category for the 2025 season.

This year’s winners will receive a cash prize of $10,000 (1^st place for: Kids, Teens and Adults).  Each 1^st place winner will receive the USA Mullet Championships Belt that is custom made each season and has a value of $800.  In addition the winners will receive a prize package from our amazing 2025 sponsors.

Voting will only be open August 6-27 for Round 1, September 3-10 for Round 2, and September 24 – October 1 for Round 3. During those dates, you will vote directly on each contestant’s page. You can find the contestant you would like to vote for by following the link provided to them.

** Please note that you are allowed 1 vote per person, per contestant, per 24 hour period.

*** All rounds will end at 12:00pm CDT.

Our team has the right to review and remove any forms of suspected cheating/fraud.

For each donation made on behalf of the contestant of your choice, we’ll contribute to the overall score of that contestant (Fan voting still carries the most weight in terms of your overall score) . All donations go to Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW), a nonprofit foundation that provides mortgage-free accessible homes to critically wounded combat Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

You may make a one-time change to you profile prior to July 6^th by emailing the requested change to [email protected]. Changes will not be able to be made after July 6^th. Please note that our team cannot make multiple changes to your profile since we have to manage all contestant request.

Once the Mullet Champ team validates the results we will notify winners via a Live media event TBD. All winners will be emailed with further instructions after we have announced.
