Early in 1990 I decided to take a bold step and grow a mullet to enhance my look and create a more mystic theme for my magic show.  My hair grew nicely, and my natural curls garnered plenty of compliments from men and women, young and old. Thanks to my luxurious locks, some people took matters into their own hands and rebranded me as *Carol* instead of *Karl.* For over twelve years, my mullet has been a defining part of my identity. However, in 2005 I made the tough decision to part with it; an era has come to an end.  And with that cut, a silence settled in. Life continued, but something was missing.  The air felt ordinary.  The magic faded.  My love for the mullet cut never waned, and about 3.5 years ago I began the journey of regrowing that iconic hairstyle.  I knew it wasn’t just bringing back the mullet; I was reviving a piece of myself.  The magic, the showmanship, the larger-than-life presence-none of it actually left, but now, it was returning in full force.  My mullet shall not fade; my mullet shall never be trimmed, and it will regain the supremacy it once had!
