Contestant Info:

My mullet’s story began at age four, born from a family obsession with soccer. While watching matches, I’d fixate on players with cool hairstyles—dyed stripes, wild curls, and yes, mullets. I begged my dad for a “soccer player cut” until he finally caved. After one fateful barber visit, I strutted out with a fresh fade and a tiny mullet tickling my neck. It was everything I’d dreamed of… until school started.

Classmates mocked me. Teachers side-eyed me. Even parents whispered. Bothered, I tied the back into a tiny bun to hide it, feeling like an outcast. I only let it down at home.

Everything changed one summer. At a tournament, I ditched the bun and let my mullet fly free. To my shock, strangers stopped me: “Dude, that hair is sick!” People asked for photos and so many compliments. For the first time, I felt like the players I’d idolized—bold, unapologetic, seen.

Today, I own it. I’m 11 years old and a fourth-year wrestler, and when I step onto the mat, my mullet’s part of my armor. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come—from a shy kid hiding his hair to someone who thrives on standing out.

So here I am: mullet down, chin up. Ready for whatever!
