Cole Grotjohn – Texas Tidal Wave

Boerne, TX

For most of my life I've had the same simple combover haircut with a faded neckline. But then I decided to grow out my hair, separating myself from the regulation faded haircuts that I'd been surrounded by as a military kid. At first, the mullet seemed weird; a far out style that was never meant to be taken seriously. After all, if you search for a picture of a mullet, you will certainly come across some ridiculous haircuts. Only I live in a place where mullets are no laughing matter. So with local inspiration, I was able to grow a mullet that was entirely my own. No pictures online could demonstrate just what I was looking for, but after months of experimentation, I ended up with a hairstyle that seemed to really change people's minds about mullets. One of the comments that I get the most is:
"YOU can pull it off."
But so can you.
