I have always enjoyed having long hair, but as a participant of historical european martial arts (HEMA), having hair too long became difficult. I decided to try out a mullet so that I could wear my combat helmet without hair getting into my face, while still keeping it long in the back. After my inital haircut, I fell in love with having a mullet. I immediately recieved compliments from people telling me that I was well suited for one. I have been growing out my mullet for a little over a year and plan to keep going.
