I started growing my mullet back in 2020. Covid lockdown boredom started setting in. My now fiancé just found out she was pregnant with our oldest boy. I was also working on getting and staying sober. Growing my mullet became not only a challenge but a motivator and a hobby. It was a lot of fun in the beginning watching my hair grow and learning how to properly take care of my hair. My fiancé taught me how to style it and up keep it. I started putting my energy into more positive things and my hair was one of them. The last three years has had a lot of ups and downs but in those three years I’ve had two children, gotten engaged, and I’ve stayed sober. I like to refer to my mullet as my sobriety mullet. It’s been with me since the beginning and we’re still going strong. I’m proud of not only my super cool hair but of myself overall.
